A gentle slope for dogs who struggle with the jump onto the sofa, the bed or a low car boot. The ramp is a fir-wood frame with a ridged grey carpet top for grip. It stands on its own fold-out legs, so it does not lean on or hook over your furniture, and the legs lock at two heights: about 30 cm or about 40 cm at the top end.

The ramp surface is about 70 cm long and 34 cm wide, and the base is about 58 cm long. It weighs under 3 kg and folds flat to slide under a bed or into the boot.

Check the height first

Measure from the floor to the top of your sofa seat, mattress or boot sill. The ramp works best where that is close to 30 or 40 cm. Most car boots are higher than 40 cm, so it suits low hatchbacks better than SUVs and estates. The supplier rates it for dogs up to 55 kg.

Getting started

Start at the lower setting, lead your dog up slowly with a treat a few times, and stay beside them until they are confident.

Safety
  • Stand the ramp on a flat, non-slip floor and check the legs are locked before your dog uses it.
  • Stay with your dog until they are used to it, and do not let them jump off the side.
  • Do not use it for dogs heavier than 55 kg, or if any part is cracked or loose.
  • In the car, use it only when the car is parked, and restrain your dog for the journey.
